About the Gallery

The house was built in 1892 by The Custis Family. We purchased it from Nancy Custis who grew up in the house. Originally it sat closer to the street but in the 1960's a suggestion was made to the twin Dr. White's to open a pharmacy. So the house was moved back and the pharmacy was built. The pharmacy is now the home of Shore Electronics.

The impetus for the gallery was the abundance of talented and creative people on The Eastern Shore of Virginia. We were captivated by the work of The Artisans Guild of The Eastern Shore of VA and The Art League. We wanted to provide a venue for them to show and sell their work. Somehow along the way we have acquired talented and creative people from all over the US and the world.

So the Red Queen has original prints from Lily Moon in Cyprus, original art from New York to Colorado: and all points between: and the Best of The Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Just as the Red Queen's offerings cover a wide geography the offerings themselves are wide and varied. We invite you to come see for yourself!
